How do people affect other people’s lives? In Gordon Korman’s Schooled, Cap a hippie was always homeschooled and for the first time was forced to attend public school.Cap was able to only change the lives of the students in positive ways at his new school, but he was also able to change his grandmother’s life and his own.
When Naomi meets cap she was being judgemental of how cap looked.She liked Zach Powers because he was one of the cool kids and bullied Cap, so she bullied Cap to get Zach’s attention.Then at the end of the book, she liked cap for who he is because she saw that when a pigeon died Cap picked it up and gave it a burial.This enabled Naomi to become more accepting of other people.How she was affected,was that when she saw how cap wasn’t embarrassed about the things they did to him then she saw how he really is because she saw when everyone was throwing paper balls and spit balls at him,he didn’t mind.
When Hugh meets cap he was kind of cap’s friend because everyone else in the school was making fun of him. But he was also making fun of him. But he was also selfish because he didn’t want to get picked on. But at the end of the story he didn’t want to be cap’s friend anymore. Hugh was affected because when cap got popular and had a lot more friends he was angry because he’s never been popular in all of his life. And that cap got kissed by the girl he liked, naomi.
When Darryl meets cap he was zach’s friend and helped prank cap with zach.Then after the story darryl became cap’s friend then hated zach because, zach pulled a prank on cap by putting the wrong mascot costume and the whole football team attack him, and after the attack darryl knew that zach planed it so darryl didn’t want to be zach’s friend any more.Darryl was affected because he saw how cp wasn’t embarrassed by the pranks and saw what he did for the school and saw how zach was a horrible person.
Many of the students in Gordon Korman’s Schooled had been judging cap when he first came to the school C average, What they didn’t realize was how cap was going to affect all of their lives.
